After the Doug Ward reunion in 2004 at fontana Michael and I went a high pointing. On that trip we got South Carolina and North Carolina. North Carolina feels like a high point as it really rises above the other peaks and there is a view from the top. SC is more of a hill surrounded by trees. This is pretty typical of East coast HPs.Good times!

Thanks for the pictures, I don't seem to have a lot of them. Highpointing is defiantly more fun when you are with others. If we would have had a video of the SC highpoint, you would have seen us running from the car to the highpoint and back. There were so many biting bugs there that we could only stand to stay there for a few minutes. The highpoint was in a beautiful spot, but no view from the highpoint.
NC has a great highpoint with a great view of everything around it. The next highest highpoint is in SD, many many miles away. You cant quite see it, but you do fill like your standing on top of the world.
Thanks again Dan and the rest of the car load of kids that I drug along on these two highpoints with me.
Do you have the photo of us all at the TN highpoint on the way to Reunion. I would be great to have a Map that shows everyones highpoints. I have HI and TN.
